A 13 year old girl talks about how Covid-19 has changed her life.

I am 13 years old.

My life has changed drastically since the shut down. The biggest change is that school is now online, I have to make my own schedule and be responsible. It is pretty stressful, because I don’t get to be in class and ask questions from the teacher or even my friends. I have to plan when I’m going to eat lunch and take breaks. I also have to decide when to do what, it’s hard to be disciplined!

My dad now works from home and it’s really weird seeing him around the house all day long. My sister goes to OCSA so she usually gets home late and seeing her all day is weird as well.

The only time I go out of the house is when I take my dog out for a walk. My street was always quiet, but nowadays I see 3–4 cars parked in front of every house, it seems like everyone is home. I haven’t been to a store or to the beach or to school since the shutdown. I did go to the grocery store with my mom once and I had to practically fight to get soap and bleach. My dad luckily has found ways to get us toilet paper and we had bought cleaners in advance so we are fortunate to have basic necessities but it still is very weird to have to worry about food and basic necessities.
