The Faces of Quarantine-One Virus Many Faces: Nigaar Z. Khan

At first, I wasn’t worried about the virus at all. But as days passed by, things started to get worse, I heard that Italy’s death rate had increased to 475 people a day. That is the time when it first hit me that this was something much bigger and scarier than I thought. I worry about not just my family and friends, but about random people who I don’t even know. I am worried about our world now, and everything we are going through as a human race.

But then I am also hopeful these days when I see people be more responsible for their own actions. I do believe that this disease can be contained and, soon, God will make this world a safe place for all of us.
I think earlier; the world looked at this pandemic as a China and/or Italy problem. It seems like now people understand that this is a global crisis, and the only way to stay safe is for all of us to work together.
I am pleasantly surprised and proud of my people back in India, as I see that they are taking this situation very seriously and doing the best to stay self isolated.Of course, there is always room for improvement. I just hope that when this is all done, the world leaders don’t put marginalized and…
