Faces of Quarantine- One Virus Many Faces

Initially, it was difficult to process how I feel since this was the first time that the county had been through a lockdown. Going through these phases of adjustment, I felt a whirlwind of emotions confused, bored, anxious, and at times blank since the current situation had disrupted the normalcy of my daily routine. When this happens, it is quite natural to feel out of place and disoriented. But after a few days, I felt that my family and I began to internalize what was going on and took steps to prevent panic, which has better helped me cope with the current happenings. I feel like life has slowed down; it has gone a few decades back.

What shocked me was people’s reactions; at first, they were nonchalant and continued with their day to day lifestyle. The government took a smart step, and they first announced that the lockdown would be only certain days of the week so that people don’t start panicking. By now, people have understood that they need to adapt to this new normalcy and the full lockdown.
The second thing that shocked me is that some people are hopelessly gullible, and their anxiety makes them receptive to the fake news and information that is spreading on social media.
