Faces of Quarantine- One Virus Many Faces

Currently, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with the sheer amount of updates and information, everywhere-on the news, websites, etc. Now that it has been a month since the “safer at home” initiative started in California, I have become more acclimated with working and being productive from home. I definitely do feel a little uncertain about what’s going to happen next, as I really don’t want my fall semester of college to be conducted through Zoom. It’s very distracting, and it’s not the same as being in a classroom with other students and a professor. I feel like my attention span in these zoom classes has decreased. But I am trying to stay positive and hope this is over soon.

Personally, this quarantine has altered my daily life quite a bit. As a second-year student at UC Berkeley, I had a busy life; going from class to class, attending meetings for extracurriculars, as well as going out to eat with friends, going to the library, etc. At first, in-person classes got suspended on March 10th until spring break, and then another announcement came suspending in-person classes for the rest of the academic year.
